The world received a pleasant surprise during the 2015 67th Annual Emmy Awards that honors prime time television. It had nothing to do with who won outstanding writing, directing, or acting award. The spot light was on the last presenter of the last award, which once again, the surprise had nothing to do with the category, but the presenter, Tracy Morgan. It has been over a year since he had appeared in Hollywood (Rose, 2015). He has been out of the spotlight not due to unable to obtain work in film, TV, or stand up. Tracy’s absence is due to recovery from a motor vehicle accident that killed one, injured many, and left him with traumatic brain injury along with other injuries.

As we enter this world as an infant, we grow, we learn, we get older, and we eventually die. It’s the natural order of life. One does not know when he or she will die or how he or she will die, yet we know that day is coming. For some individuals that day comes sooner than later as it did for Bobbi Kristian Brown. On July 26, 2015, Bobbi Kristina Brown the only child from pop icon Whitney Houston and R&B Singer Bobby Brown died that Sunday night. She was 22 years of age.

Since the controversy Rachel Dolezal (Perez-Pena, 2015) was forced to resign as the NAACP Spokeman Chapter leader and no longer an employee of Eastern Washington University where she was a professor teaching African Studies. What many individuals are upset with regarding Rachel Dolezal is the alleged deception. The common thread between the District of Columbia, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska is that they all have legalized marijuana for recreational purposes. Each state has their own set of rules on how they govern the purchase, selling, transportation, and cultivating of marijuana. There are many states that are working towards their own legalization of marijuana. Regardless of when or if that comes to be, the effects of marijuana are the same, it is substance that causes euphoria, a high that causes impairment. There is no employer that is going to take a risk of allowing a person to use marijuana and be employed. It is a risk hazard regardless of it being legal per certain states and remains illegal on the federal level. Therefore, people who want to get high and/or avoid anyone knowing that they have substances in their urine, aka pass a drug test; would use “fake marijuana” or “synthetic marijuana” or “Spice”

On January 31, 2015, the world became aware Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of singer Bobby Brown and the late R &B dvia, Whitney Houston, was rushed to the hospital because she was found in the bathtub face down. On Tuesday, February 3, 2015 she was moved to another hospital and placed in a medical induce coma or medical coma (Botelho & Newsome, 2015). There are many questions about Bobbi’s quality of life upon awaking from her coma.
